Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Statement (Directive 2002/95/EC, dated 27 January, 2003)

Lightwaves2020 has received requirements from many customers to provide products conforming to RoHS environmental regulations. In order to serve our customers, we have completed the process of ensuring that 100% of our products are compliant with the RoHS directive. Currently 100% of Lightwaves2020 products are RoHS compliant, and all products shipped to the EU become compliant by July 1, 2006.

For complying the legislated environmental directives being instituted throughout the world, Lightwaves2020 has established a comprehensive program that is intended to promote product compliance with the new laws. The most notable directive is the RoHS (Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances). The RoHS legislation restricts the use of certain hazardous substances to levels of less than 100-1000 ppm used in electronic products. The RoHS and equivalent directives prohibit use of the following substances in products placed into the market effective July 1, 2006:

· Lead
· Hexavalent Chromium
· Mercury
· Cadmium
· Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB)
· Polybrominated Diphenylethers (PBDE)
