1310/1550 WDM Filter Integrated Optical Power Monitor (PIBF)
Download Datasheet (PDF)

MOPM_WDM Lightwaves2020's 1310/1550 WDM filter integrated optical power monitor (PIBF) is a device that detects signals from one band and reflects the other band.

By integrating a 1310/1550 WDM thin film filter and a PIN photodiode into a miniature coaxial package, the PIBF minimizes the number of parts to handle, eliminates fiber splicing, improves fiber routing and saves board space. At a mere ø3.5x18 mm it is the smallest available package on the market.

The PIBF has many performance advantages, including: low insertion loss; excellent responsivity linearity, low polarization dependent loss; low wavelength dependent loss; high isolation between detected signal and reflected signal to increase dectetion accuracy; and high frequency response capability. The PIBF simplifies the design of dual window WDM systems and offers a compact and more cost-effective solution for power monitoring in optical networks than discrete components.
