The result is not only beautiful, but provides our premier team of optical engineers and scientists with state-of-the-art design tools, research laboratories and production facilities that are unparalleled in the fiberoptic industry.

High Tech Facilities
The building's structure and mechanical systems support state-of-the-art facilities for computer-based product design, research, product testing, pilot production operations and quality control. In addition, 14,635 sq. ft. are dedicated to electrostatic discharge (ESD) protected development and manufacturing, and 3,530 sq. ft. to clean room operations.

Cutting Edge Development Tools
Lightwaves2020 has spared no expense when it comes to advanced tools for design and research. First and foremost, this includes multiple Leybold APS 1104 Plasma Assisted coating machines and Ion-Tech Spectra RF sputtering machines to mass-produce skirt sharp 50 GHz DWDM filters with flat top pass with a superior yield to the industry average.

Accessibility
Optical technology is all about speeding up access to voice and data networks. With this in mind, we built our corporate headquarters in Milpitas, at the northeastern corner of the Silicon Valley, to maximize our visibility and accessibility from San Jose and the Bay Area. We can easily be reached from highways 880, 680 and 237, as well as the Montague Expressway and Tasman Corridor. In addition, we are located just 100 yards from the Santa Clara Transit's Light Rail stop.
